Sumika Polymer Compounds introduces new solutions at the K-Show 2019

Sumika Polymer Compounds, part of the Sumitomo Chemical Group, is expanding its THERMOFIL™HP range and introducing their new ESPOLEX ™ material at the K-Show 2019.

A range ahead of its time.

The THERMOFIL™HP family welcomes a new member with its low emission/odour version. This new version keeps the high-performance standards of the range by adding the characteristics of low emission & low odour.

Years of development were needed to fulfil the most demanding specifications in the market. Today the results prove that the efforts have not been in vain. Sumika is proud to present its low odour and low VOC fiberglass PP for automotive interior applications.

“We are excited to be able to offer our customers a new low emission/odour range of THERMOFIL™HP, which comfortably fulfils the most demanding specifications without compromising material performance. The THERMOFIL™HP product range is the market leader for driving down component weight through substitution of higher density materials. The new low emission range of THERMOFIL™HP will play a crucial role in minimising the weight of interior components for the next generation of electrical vehicles “says Ana Moreno, Technical Manager at Sumika Polymer Compounds Europe Group.

A long-awaited arrival

Well known on the American and Asian continent, the Thermoplastic Elastomer ESPOLEX ™, lands in Europe.  The key benefit is it’s high performance, which allows efficient part design, coupled with benefits such as “Mold-In-color” for unpainted interior surfaces. The skipping of the painting phase of Airbag covers brings an economic and environmental advantage.

Do not miss the launch of these two solutions at the K-show 2019, international trade fair for plastics, meeting point of innovation, information and investment. For more information, you are welcome to our booth A 1.4, 2 floor, Hall 7 from October 16th.
